I recently came across a really neat kind of card called a waterfall card. It sounds like it is something that has been around for a while, but is kind of coming back around in popularity again (or maybe not, I just happened to find it?). Regardless, I think it is such a neat idea and neat design...so thank you to whomever created this style of card.
I recently made this card for a baby shower I was attending...and I think it turned out sooo cute! I just wanted to share with everyone here too:) I am thinking of making some more of them to put in my shop eventually...but I have several other projects that need completing first! Anyway, since it is an "interactive" moving card I decided to show it as a video instead of using pictures:) Enjoy, and Happy Tuesday!

The Story behind the Wall Paper :)
One of the things you will notice right now about the things in my shop is that a LOT of them say they are made using WALL PAPER! Some people have asked "what is the wall paper all about?" And, so I thought I would share the back story on that...and why you will be seeing a LOT more products made with wall paper in my shop!
Here are a couple items from my shop that are made using wall paper.
One of my previous jobs was at Home Depot. I worked there for 6 years...and it got me through college, and I still worked there the first year or so of my marriage, while I worked at the preschool. I even met my husband there:) I was his supervisor!! (Nothing has changed..lol)
While working there, one of the departments had wall paper sample books...and when new books came out, they would just throw away the old books. So, I was able to accumulate 3 books of wall paper samples (which is soooo sad, since one week while I was gone, they got rid of ALL of the books since they quit selling wall paper!) I could have had 100 or more books...but oh well, storage would be an issue if that were the case:) The books are really big, if you haven't seen one before...probably 20x20" or so, maybe bigger.
Anyway, I have had the 3 books now for at least 4-5 years...and my original plan was to use them to make my cards...so last year I started dabbling in making cards with the wall paper, and this year I have continued to expand on that, and hope to have the majority of items in my shop made using the wall paper. However, once it's gone...it's gone! And, I will have to make my cards using regular paper again:(
I am anxious to use up the wall paper from these books for a couple reasons...
1)They make truly unique cards...cant find paper like this anywhere else! (Well, maybe on your wall!)
2)I have moved twice now with these books in tow...and it would be nice to not have to move them again. ( Dont think that will happen though since we will be moving again in about a year...but I can try!)
So...that is the story on the wall paper...not much to it, but offers more of an explanation as to why on earth I am using wall paper for my cards! If you want to see more, please check out my shop, and keep an eye open for more, as I have plenty more coming!!

It's Friday!!
Another Happy Friday to everyone! I can't believe how fast this week has gone! I have been busy making so many fun things this week, and look forward to my weekend of Scrapbooking!! I still have yet to finish the 2010 book, and so have lots to catch up on, especially with this year already flying by!!
---I have been working really hard on making Mother's Day cards. Yes, it is only Feb and I am making Mothers day cards! I know last year they were pretty popular, and so am hoping for the same this year! I love everything I make, or I wouldn't sell it:)
---Also, I have been working on making mini notebooks to put in my shop. These would make an awesome little gift, or work great to keep in your own purse! I have one in mine!
---Lastly, I have been working on using up some of my scrap paper. No matter what I do, the pile seems to always just get bigger! So, my goal is to clean it up! I guess I am starting spring cleaning a little early!
I hope that everyone has a most wonderful weekend! I think we are looking at a trip to the zoo, as long as the weather stays as beautiful as it has been:) And of course, my naptime treat...SCRAPBOOKING!

A New baby in the family!
This morning my little sister had her first baby...a baby boy named Jacob. I have only seen pictures, but he is a cutie! Hard to believe my little sister is now a mommy! Time goes by much too fast! Anyway, didn't prepare an inspirational quote for the day or anything, but I figured the miracle of life is an inspiration in and of itself. It is such an awesome reminder that God is good, and He gives us such wonderful things~

Where does the time go?
So, it seems that I find the time every two months to get on here and write! Not sure where the time goes! Anyway, I have been very busy lately, and not able to work on a whole lot of my crafting ideas. I have lots of plans, and projects that I want to make...just need to find the time.
And of course yesterday...with plans to spend my girls entire nap time in my office making Christmas gift tags to put in my shop, and working on birth announcements; didn't happen since I fell on the stairs and broke my big toe!! Yuck! Instead I spent their nap time plus two hours in the urgent care in a not so great part of town. Interesting how things happen. It could have been so much worse...I was carrying my 11 month old daughter when I fell, and I protected her so she mainly just had a ride down the stairs on mommy. And, my two year old was on the stairs with us; but she was behind me. Had she been in front of me, she would have gone down with me. I feel like the accident was meant to happen, and God was there protecting my little girls from getting hurt...and my injury, from the way I fell with my foot and leg under me, could have been so much worse. Thank you Lord, for watching over us yesterday!!
Well, I will try to not wait so long to get on here again. I have some birth announcements in the the works for my sister and good friend, and as soon as they have their babies, I will post pics of the announcements on here. Just don't want to spoil the "announcment" before the babies are here! Bye for now!!
